Welcome to Crafting Voices. The Crafting Voices is an audio program that focuses on American craft and those individuals who spend their lives creating, promoting, and collecting American craft. Partly inspired by the Chicago Public Radio program, This American Life, each show has a theme and features interviews with working artists and professional craftspeople, gallery owners, and members of the professional art industry.

About the Host

Crafting Voices is created and hosted by jewelry artist Nicolette Tallmadge. Nicolette has been creating mixed media jewelry for 14 years and has a jewelry design company called Mixed Media Designs. Her work was recently featured in a new Lark Books title, “The Art of Jewelry: Paper Jewelry“. Her experiences as a professional artist inspired her to create Crafting Voices to highlight the lives and stories of artists, gallery owners, and other people who inhabit the art industry.
