Boris Bally is a mixed media sculptor who is well-known for his work using discarded traffic signs. Boris’ father was an award winning industrial designer and he gain experience in working with metal in his workshop as a teenager. In addition to his experiences at home Boris also was formally trained as goldsmith in Basel, Switzerland. Boris’ work ranges from a variety of different objects including, furniture, jewelry, wall hangings, and permanent installations. His work can be found in the Smithsonian American Art Museum in New York and Washington D.C., the Carnegie Museum of Art, and the National Museum of Art. He was a guest on the “Transformation of Trash” episode.
