Michael de Meng is a mixed media assemblage artist who work is made from discarded materials. Michael’s work which also includes a line of shrines has a heavy Latin American influence and he get much of his inspiration from the annual Latin American festival “La Dias de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead). He also teaches classes and workshops on the process of assemblage and he is also the author of an upcoming book about his art, “Secrets of Rusty Things, which is set to be published in June of 2007. He was a guest on the “Transformation of Trash” episode.
